I have a great looking set of mags on my 1985 535i and I was wondering what BMW they originally came from because I haven't seen any other cars driving around with the same ones. I can't find any pictures on the web either. I don't know the origins of anything on my car because I just brought it and it's a mix of different parts, mainly M parts to make it look genuine (it almost fooled me, emphasis on almost). Making the car original isn't my game because it looks so damn good with M stuff but I'm not fussed cause I brought it for $700. Also, what are people's impressions of 'fake' M Beemers and their owners? Just curious
Not everyone can afford to buy an M, but we probably would all like to own one. That doesn't necessarily mean that we can't live the dream in some small way by putting an M badge on the cars we do own. Just like all the folks running around with their Transformer stickers on their vehicles.
