I Have A 2000 528i The Oil Pressure Light Came On And The Vehicle Was Driven Approx. 15 Minutes. Noise Is Coming From The Engine, And It Does Have Oil. I'm Not Sure If The Noise Is A Lifter Or Possibly Just From Running Dry. Does Anyone Have An Idea Of Where To Start I'm Not Sure If I Need To Look At Sensors, Pumps Etc. When I Rev Engine, Oil Light Did Go Off Momentarily So The Rpms Must Be Giving It Pressure. Thanks
I Do Not Have Any Oil Leaks Or Blue Smoke From Exhaust. I Just Replaced The Vanos And Valve Cover Gaskets Approx. 3 Months Ago. An Oil Change Was Done 2. There Has Been No Forewarning, No Sudden Drops In Pressure. Since The Vanos Was Replaced The Car Had Slightly More Power And Better Fuel Consumption. I Do Have High Miles I'm At 170
No, I Have Not Checked Anything Yet. I Was Asking For Ideas Before I Just Started Tearing Into It. I Was Concerned Because Of The Engine Noise And Was Wondering If It Was Worth Digging Into
