i'm gonna do an oil change tomorrow, and i cant find out where the fuck my oil filter is...i just cant find the fucking thing.
Also, im having a problem finding the spark plugs..., and i'd love to know where the knock sensors are located. My cylender 3 now has a pretty fucking bad knock going on, and i need to find out of knock sensors are the cause.

Oil filter on my 95 525i is right on top of the engine compartment. These are not typical US spin on filters...but they're actually easier to remove and replace. Here's a link to e36 oil filter removal...different car, same engine, same process:
the oil filter on the M50TU will be located in the engine compartment toward the front of the engine and slightly right (if looking into engine compartment from front) of dead center. The knock sensors are located on the left side of the block between cyl 1&2 and cyl 3&4. If you disconnect the knock sensors DO NOT MISTAKE WHERE THEY GO BACK EXTREME ENGINE DAMAGE MAY OCCUR IF THE KNOCK SENSOR CONNECTORS ARE SWITCHED AROUND...but a knock sensor will not cause a knock...the knock sensor is there to SENSE knocks and adjust timing (retard in 3* increments) if the knock occurance exceeds a set threshold. The spark plugs are easy enough to find, they are in the head under the coils.
