OBC lights up ploblem - BMW Forum

My '85 528e's OBC display does not light up. It was working fine but having trouble today. I think that OBC shoud be working.(I can see red indicater light on when timer start). Problem comes from diode dead or is that liquid crystal?

Is anybody know how to fix it? should replace only OBC bulb or have to replace OBC unit?

sounds like you need to change the light bulb

I replaced and soldered a bulb on circuit board. The Bulb is 12v 75mA
instead of normal bulb. But it is working fine!

Also my 528e need to replace AT position indicator bulb, although
it is not easy due to circuit board design. I don't want to buy new board
from BMW dealer, price is $80!!
