Hi guys a little help needed if possible....

1991 535i sport..

Today my OBC seems to be not working properly, the time and date works, but the consumption just stays on - - - on 1 and 2, the range is just stuck on 189m and temp reads +65, yesterday all was fine and working ok, have done nothing to car since then, any ideas..

a computer reset is needed.


either disconnect the battery, and leave for 5-10 minutes (it may be worth touching the disconnected lead against the other to clear any residual charge) Then reconnect.

Or

Pull out the computer unit from under the bonnet (it will be under the screwed-down black lid, usually the one nearest the inside of the car)
Leave a couple of minutes, then plug back in.

Hopefully this should clear the issue.

Cheers miniman, will try the computer unit first now.

if no luck will try battery tomorrow.....

it couldnt be the obc being knackered could it....

ok have tried disconnecting everything inc battery, for at least half an hour and still consum and speed - - - and range is now stuck on 80m.
