O2 sensors

Dear friends,

i discovered that there are no O2 sensors attached to my car.
is it normal to come without them from the factory??? also no holes for them on the exhaust.!!!! what it will cause for my car ??????!!!!!

the car is 2003 E39 520i

That will be because they are on the exhaust manifold #2 x2 in the diagram:

Eh! whats the last 7 digits of your VIN #.

where i can find it?? and what it can help for???

You can find it on the suspension tower under the bonnet/hood or at the bottom of you windscreen or on you vehicle registration form, what you do with it is go to the site below and key in the last 7 digits thats your car and it will show all the parts fitted to your car.

i'll check the number
but is it related to the country where i live ????

and i noticed that strong smell comes from the exhaust and i think its the cats, some one advised me to remove them so is there any damage for the engine if i did it???

The VIN will show all that's fitted to that car, whether it be in Syria or the North Pole, removing the cats wont affect the engine, but if your country has smog tests or emissions tests for cars it will FAIL without cats fitted..
