Ok.. i got a 97 528 its lowered, so i was going down the street and i hit a sewer lid then took a pretty hard bump on an intersection.. bad roads i guess.. then while i was turning left i heard a noise like my tire was scratching the body of my car or something of that sort.. it makes the noise when i got left or right and it also does it while the cars in motion and also while the cars parked.. anyone know what the problem might be?
someone please help me out.. this bmw has been nothing but trouble.. im deciding weather to play Russian roulette with 1 bullet or the whole clip.

If it is making the noise while your car is standing still, its probably not rubbing, although if your car is lowered, it still could be. Check the fluid level in your power steering reservoir (right on top of the engine, cap says "ATF only"). Also, take a look at the fluid right after it makes the noise you describe. If the fluid level is low, the noise could be your powersteering pump cavitating. If it is, the fluid will be a foamy pink color. If it is that low, its possible there is a leak in your powersteering somewhere. Check all around the reservoir for any leaks. Fill the reservoir to the indicator line (level indicator is on the cap) and then check it every couple of days to make sure it is not going down. Common leaks come from the hose connections to the pump and reservoir. The stock ones are pinch clamps that can loosen up over time. I replaced all mine with your standard twisty hose clamps that you can get at any hardware or auto parts store. Also check around the steering rack to make sure none of the boots are damaged. If they are, dirt and water can get in there, which will cause the seals to go bad and then you have a big issue with a busted steering rack. Not an easy nor cheap job to do.
i just went to a car shop.. he lifted my car and said it was my "rack and pinion".. he said it was "leaking a bit of steering oil" but i can drive it, im going to fill it up with some steering fluid oil till Monday.
