No power to fuel pump 95/525i

A friend was sitting idling when the car shut off. Now I have no power to the fuse for the fuel pump. I'd like to see if I have power to the relay, but my repair guide dose not include a component locator, anyone know which one?
She was low on oil, would that shut down the fuel sys.? help.

I have never heard of low oil shutting a car fuel system down. To locate your relay, how about plugging your car info to realoem.com

Found it!! still no fuel pump. jumped the relay and got power to fuse 23 (fuel pump) but no fuel. On the relay I have power and switch power but no ground. Is ground switch by the ECM? anyone?

Are you sure it's not the relay itself that's bad?

Not sure if your car has one of those units that click pump power off in a shunt ?.I have a 94 tds and the relay for mine has two functions built in,glow plugs and fuel pump,fuel pump runs when glow plugs on and then ecu controls the pump when engine is running,it switches it off and on according to a pressure sensor in the fuel filter.Also the relay on mine takes a live signal from the alternator to enable it to work when engine is running.To see if you have power to the relay look online for 'how to wire a relay' this will give you the terminal connection numbers such as 30 / 86 / 87 etc.30 is battery/fuse link ie power in,86 is switch ie a live to enable relay to close and supply power,87 is the item to send power to,ie pump and 85 is earth.Check any way in case I have got them wrong
