Unhappy No Instrument Cluster Illumination E28

Hey fellow E28 owners/enthusiasts! Got a problem with no illumination of my gauge cluster. Installed new bulbs and checked circuit board all fine.
Replaced headlamp switch, but I noticed previous owner had disconnected two wires looks like a red and green wire from the switch. (taped off)
Does anyone have the proper color code (wires to pins) of the E28 headlamp switch??? Been to junkyard and all of those E28s have their switches yanked out! Not able to know what is proper wiring

Have you changed the batteries inside the cluster???, they are known as SI batteries.

Here you go just found this:

I stepped in a plate of Pasta the other day - now I have to worry about my Carbonara footprint!

my friend has an older car, we took the gauge cluster out and soldered the connections back together...

well, now that i think about it, everything on his gauge cluster would die and then come back up...not sure if that'll fix your problem.

good luck though.
