No Heat

2003 540 only generates heat when its coming the faster i drive the more heat I get. I got the fan gear changed last week. Check coolant level is on Mechanic says its a false reading......I think i need a new mechanic also

Sounds like the final stage unit, also called blower motor resistor. Pretty common problem and bout 15-30min to change it out. AutohauseAZ has them for about $50

Check your thermostat. The plastic luggs holding the Thermostat may be broken and is now ot seating properly. It is a quick job. Make sure the engine is cold.

Mine's the same. My finger says there's coolant there, but the sensor says it's not.

Does the fan itself work? As in:
Do the heater/ dash/ defrost switch positions work?
Do the fan switch positions correspond to proper air flow?
Is your water temp gauge reading a constant display?
Sometimes the problem is just a symptom ...
