Hi to all.
well I've just bought myself a 5 series 1991 520i so what have I got? is it the E34 or what? 1990cc 6 cylinder and what about Doorlocks I am wondering if it is fitted with deadlocks as after locking if I turn the key all the way to 9 -3 oclock position I can hear something going on in doors. I also have purchased an alarm system from flea bay is it easy to fit and is there anywhere I can get some decent schematics of the car what is the average mpg on a car like this driven carefully of coarse?

Congrats! It is infact an E34. If you hear the actuators when you lock the car you may just need to have them replaced if they are not actually locking. Good luck with the car!

The car locks OK I just wondered if it had deadlocks like on a Vauxhall SRI.
after it has locked turning the key further to the 9-3 oclock position sounds like something else is engaging so I thought maybe deadlocks although I'm surprised no alarm or immobilzer is fitted as they had them in 91.
