Hey guys.I just bought my first bimmer recently and have a question.I know some people will simply post "try searching the forum" as an answer.I have done that and havent found anything specific to my problem.
My problem is this..white smoke.I know there are numerous posting on the topic, but nothing that sounds like mine.Of course it happens when I start it (I live in the NC mountains and its effin cold..lol).Well when I bought the car, the radiator had just been replaced.Lets keep that in mind.I just got the oil changed today and it runs better. But before I got it changed, white smoke would come out when I accelerated sometimes and sometimes when I was idleing.Well after the oil change,it hasnt done it nearly as much, but it has done it today.
I changed the oil to keep records for myself. Now it only smokes a little.Could the old oil have had coolant in it from the radiato replacement? if so,is the little bit of smoke now be remnants of what may have been in it before? Like I said, the smoke is hit or miss.Should I think of gaskets and seals at this point?Any and all help and guidance will be appreciated. Thanks guys
