Today I went to a car audio place called AMS car stereo and they hooked my bmw up really clean with a system. A friend gave me two 12" Sony Subs for free and I had to purchase a box, and an amp. I have heard that BMW trunks were so tightly sealed and that the bass doesn't sound good in BMW's but they are wrong. It sound awsome! I'm really tired and its late or i'd take pics, but tomorrow I will for sure.
I just have a stock headunit, my car went in for service the night I wrote that. But I promise I will post pictures. They did an awsome job splicing into the wires, they spliced the wires before the stock amp I believe. Then they also used a spare battery terminal so no messy wires connected to the battery. If you didn't know what to look for you wouldn't know my car had a system (except when the box and woofers are in) They hid the amp on the ceiling of the trunk and I am just happy with the overall installation. I'll take pics, sorry it is taking so long.
