NEW SPRINGS and shocks also???

I would like to drop my 92' 525i, but I was wondering if I can just throw some Lowering Springs on it without putting new Shocks. My plan for this car is to not spend that much money on it, but still keep it looking real fresh.

Let me know guys

Hey, if looks is your only concern, go for it.

The ride will feel ok around town, still noticeable stiffer - but when you hit the highway, dips will be really noticeable as the car will tend to bounce up real high and possibly even bottom out frequently. It's not nearly as bad as a lot of people make it out to be, but since your removing the shocks anyway - replace them. They make a world of difference in the control of the ride and it just feels nice. Although - shocks + lowering springs may be a stiffer ride than your looking for.

The bounce gets a little annoying, but it's tolerable in these cars as long as everything else is in good shape. When I put lowering springs and shocks in, the ride was just amazing, though - well worth the extra $ when it comes to highway driving.

good luck.
