I thought it fair to post this as I have extensively scanned the E39 formus and have learned so much (possibly more than I wanted to know). I previously owned a 87' 735 for 14 years- it gave great service with much abuse. The cost of repairing it far exceeded its worth, so on a limited budget bought a Dec. 97' build local delivery 1 owner ithe 150km on the clock. It had been impecably serviced by the stealer with all the usual problem bits fixed. Great price- I love a bargain!
From these formus I realize the future expense, but will endevour to keep this amazing machine up to spec. Its all completely stock including the OEM wheels. I have got 60 profile tyres on it though and the speedo reads within 1-2 km/h at 100km.Will post a pix soon.
Many thanks to all you folk for the very BEST information I have seen for e39s!
