Hey, I am 16 and my dad gave me his '98 Bimmer 540iA w/85k as a lil gift. I have installed 2 12" subs in the armrest. I was wanting to install Angel Eyes on it and needed to kno if I bought halogen ones now if later on i could buy the xenon kit w/ballists instead of buying completely new xenons! Also, i was wanting to make my Bimmer fast and I live in Texas so Dinan is kinda out of the question right? If you could gimme a couple mods and some info about the angel eyes, i would appreciate it!

Go to bavauto.com and get an idea on much this will cost you (getting the angel eyes now and then the xenon kit).... If I were you, save your money and buy the whole thing at once... I just upgrade my headlights as well (cost, $1500) but worth every penny. Do a search on this forum under "angel eyes". We have had many discussions on this subject. As to how to make your car faster, maybe a chip but I'm not too familiar with them. I have only replaced my muffler with a hi-performance (tri-flo, from bavauto) on my 540i... it's suppose to increase an extra 10 horses (so they say!)

Wow... let's just say that I am officially jealous of a 16 yr old. I'm 25 and I am trying to convince my soon to be fiance to let me sell my new VW GTI and get a 540i. She apparantly has other plans for my money.... like a friggin house. YAY!
Have you got any pics of your subs install. Also what subs are they. I have two 12" in my e34 bmw, but want to do a custom install. Was just wondering how yours looks.
I don't have any pics right now but I will try and get you some. I do have a custom install. It was about 1200 and I am good friends with the guys that did it so they aren't cheap by any means. I have two 12" Alpine Type R's being pushed by a JL 500/1. Plus I have another amp mounted that isn't hooked up yet. It's an Alpine MRV-T420
