In need of some advice!!!

I am looking to buy 2004 BMW 545i with 90,000 miles....I've done my homework on 3 series but I dont know much about the 5's. We are in negotiations right now but...the thing that is killing me is the maintenance. Can some one tell me or give me a link on the maintenance that this car will need in the future and should have been done by now? Or should I just get something different. Thank you guys soo much any help will be very much appreciated!

Welcome to Bimmerwerkz. The E39 is an excellent model but did have its share of issues like any model.

BMW 5 series are known for below average reliability and above average repair costs. People buy them for their driving qualities recognizing these short falls. If you are worried about maintenance this BMW is not your car, get a Honda or Toytota

It's a heavier car so the suspension bushes may give more frequently (not much more), other than that your 3series knowledge can also apply to the 5series !!
