Yesterday, I noticed the A/C fan in front of the radiator was making noise (97 528i, with 134K miles). My Mech. says the fan is wobbling on the shaft. He recommends shimming up the fan and putting some epoxy to keep the fan blades from wobbling because he thinks the cost of a new fan and motor would be expensive.
IMO that's really a band aid repair. I think a look for good electric cooling fans is well worth it; iirc one of our sponsors offers them. I wouldn't put it off, that wobble will escalate fast.
