1. Temp gauge wiggles a lot and if you thump on the panel it might come up and might go down? I have another parts instrument panel but from what I am seeing I need to swap the whole board because of looks like factory rivets plus two nuts? Unless one of you have another way or just maybe the cause of it being erratic.

2. The steering wheel squeaks while turning. Looks easy to get to so maybe I can get some lube on the bearing under the spring. But wanted to ask if I am headed in the right direction?

3. I can live with the car starting up and going to 1500/1700 rpm and back down but why some times does it hit 2500? Good way to take out a cam I would think? I would feel better if I could do what I had to do to my 83 XJS and have it crank at 550!

4. What oil filter with a baffle is best to use with it placed the way it is so it does not drain back when you cut it off?


wife bugging me to fix this and that so I want to try to fix all one time untill she finds something else???????

a) Could just be a loose connection on the rear of the cluster.

b) Needs a grease up.

c) It should not go up to 1700, never mined 2500, clean the Maff and throttle body.

d) Use an OEM one thats what there designed for.
