So..... every since I did the MKIV upgrade to my M5 it's been driving me nuts. I can't seem to set (and forget) the Navigation Volume. It insists on cutting the current sound source and then speaking directions at a level of volume higher then the sound source was.
Setting the Navi volume to minimum works "ok" as at least when the radio/cd/mp3 is on at normal to high volumes the navi cuts and comes on at a semi normal volume. Unless of course it's summer and I have the windows open.
I find myself endless fusing with the Navigation Volume. I'd like to set it and forget it!
I want to set it at a volume that I can hear normally regardless of the radio being on or off or with windows being up or down. I don't want it so loud it blasts my ear drums when I'm listening to loud music. It cuts the music off anyway why the hell does it need to be louder then the music was before it cut it off! Stupid option.
I've read the manual it is says there are these nifty min/max volume controls under "INFO". Pressing info in my car does NOTHING. Nothing happens. No menu, no nothing.
