My Wife's Now A 540 Believer!!

Ever since I bought my 1999 540/6 back in October, my wife has been lukewarm at best toward it, driving it only on rare occasion (part of it is that she's afraid of damaging the car because she mistakenly thinks I care more for the car than for her). Well, this past Saturday I had to be gone all day in her car, so took the kids and drove the 540 to Wal-mart.

Without giving me every little detail, she said she found out first hand that the 540 is freakin incredibly quick when she found herself in some kind of tight traffic situation. Although I had already given her a demonstration once as a passenger with DSC switched off back before the CDV-ectomy, she said it was a whole different thing to actually be the driver (plus, the CDV is now deleted). She even said her mind was running to how we could take the 540 on our summer vacation instead of her vehicle, as we always do! (yes, she drives a big-a$$ SUV, but is a good driver, so don't stereotype her).

Yep, I don't think there'll be any problem now selling her on the idea of buying and helping me install that M5 front sway bar...
