ALways have enjoyed the older BMW's , migrated to Mercedes for last 15 years, still have one of those but this baby showed up and I had to have it
1989 525i, 70K on the clock and super clean. Paint a little aged and small rust bubbles on rear fender lip.
Needs tires but just had over 1200$ worth of work done including timing chain, and converting to R134, water pump , battery, exhaust system. I got it for less than 4 grand , so I am feeling pretty good about it since all the service was done. Runs strong, but not a rabbit off the line. Only issues I see right now is needing a good detailing, Questions
1- love to figure out how to put in a CD player , will an OEM later model E34 go in?
2-Has a bit of an odor from the vents when AC is on , but I think this car has sat for awhile - any ideas
3- service intervals - tranny and rear diff?
Anything and everthing I should know about this car please post. I will be here often I am sure. I love to tinker and want to learn about this car.
