I wonder where in Lithuania I can get this thing of yours (Neffy wrap - Carbon fiber imitation) ?

Also you have mentioned that you will put a video how to take off window chrome trims. But I dont see any of that video .

What kind of material did you used to stick on chrome trims ?

Thanks .
Neffy wrap is a carbon fiber immitation but it has the same look and feel of the dry carbon trim in the current generation M3. I was considering doing carbon fiber overlays but you're not guaranteed results and in most cases it is not reversible.

I filmed the process for how to remove the trim but I recently came back to school so I don't have the same amount of time that I used to have when I was on break.

I used "shadowline vinyl" for the window trim. Any self adhesive vinyl will basically do the job. It has the exact same look and feel as the plastic shadowline trim does. You would never be able to tell the difference by the exterior.

Maybe we can meet somewhere half way? Is that a fair compromise?

The upper trim pieces are held in place by little metal clips, the lower trim pieces just sort of slide into place. I found this online and it helped explain it to me. At first I was a little intimidated but once I got that first piece off successfully I found it to be pretty simple. Click here

The inner trim pieces are actually held in place by both the door panel and the inner part of the door. The door panel will have to be removed if you intend to paint, wrap, w/e you want to do in order to work on them. These are a lot easier to deal with and door removal instructions can be found on YouTube. Hope this helps and sorry for the late response. School's been killing me lately.

Although this is not really part of my project, I am excited to announce that I now have a grasp of HDR imaging. I was fooling around with some old photos the other day and was able to use them to get the HDR effect without using the RAW photo format that is typically used to create HDR images. This is what I came up with so far...

What do you guys think?

I generally like the non-HDR photos better, but the first pic and the last one are really nice, good effort!

I think some people really overdo it with HDR, I'm kind of 50/50 on the issue. I like HDR because you can get a little more detail than you normally could with a regular photo and photoshop.

Looks like I'm going to get my windows tinted over spring break. I'm going with the Huber Optik ceramic film and having a local detailing shop do the work. The film is kind of expensive but I've seen nothing but good results and people in general really seem to like it a lot. I'm looking to do 35% all around. I'll have photos up as soon as I get it done!
