MY 97 528i has no GUTS!

I have a 1997 528i with 265K on the engine. It has been well cared for and was running like a top until a month ago. It completely stalled out on the highway (doing 70 MPH). I pulled over and let it rest. It fired up but was running very rough. I took it to Auto Zone the next day and they did the free diagnostic test. I don't rember the codes but several things came up. I had a random miss fire. Miss fire on 1,2 & 3. A throttle body malfunction and a mass air flow malfunction. From there I have replaced the maf, all plugs, all coils & connectors. I have cleaned the throttle body and replaced the intake cps. I checked all the hoses & can't see anything strange (maybe a vacum leak) . Sometimes in the morning it sounds like there is a popping noise coming from the trottle body area. I took it back to Auto Zone and the same codes cam up but this time the mis fire was on 4 & 5- not 1,2 & 3.

I have spent a lot of time on this and the same codes are coming up and my car is running like CRAP! It is still misfiring and I can floor it and it just puts along. My car & I need major help.

+1 on the codes! Are you starting to burn any oil? Did the plugs look fouled? With that many miles I would be inclined to run a compression check and make sure you have a strong foundation before dumping money in it.
