My 528i E28 cnetral locking problem

ghead ~As was replacing a worn elctric window motor, i trapped a red wire, coming from the drivers door lock, whcih split the insultation and some of the metal fibre. trapping the wire also made the car lock it self. i repaired the wire and tried the central locking again, the central locking did not work. so i checked all the fuses and relays, and they all seem fine, do any of u have any ideas whats rong, all other extras on the car such as electric windows horn lights etc work. Plz help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

may be you have you have to cut the scraped part of the cable out and just make a new connection. If there's not enough current flowing through the cable the signals will not be delivered. Good luck!
