| well i don't know if this is what you had in mind...
But i have a alpine 9807 mp3 deck and i too have an ipod which i wanted to "plug" into my stereo (as i previously used a fm transmitter which wasn't the best quality".
This deck has as aux function which the ipod can be plugged into. So now i have a cord comign out of my glove box which i can plug my ipod into and the sound quality is near CD quality (depending on the quality of the MP3 on the ipod of course)
