Mp3 Player In A 2001?

Does anyone know if it is possible to have a dealer add the Aux. Input in the glove box that will allow you to connect a MP3 player in a 2001 540i with Navigation. If not what is the best possible way to connect the player to the car. I know that there are ones that trasmit through the radio, but I'm not sure of how good those sound. I do have a cassette deck, if that is even a possibility.

There are two ways you can do this.

You can spend 500 some dollars on a hard drive that acts as a CD changer, and replace your cd changer with that.

Or, you can buy an aftermarket head unit with two RCA input jacks on the back, make sure they're input, and hook up a simple 7 dollar radio shack RCA-Headphone adapter cable, run that to your glovebox, then simply plug that into your run of the mill ipod or mp3 player.
