You know, I wrestled with that very question for months and I got lots varying opinions on the subject. But in the end, here's my rationale for deciding to go with 19's:
... I've got a sport suspension on my 540i, so I'm used to a firmer ride -- as opposed to floating around in a Lexus.
...Other owners who have gone to 19's haven't reported a harsh ride -- unless they just don't want to admit it. Hmm...
....Wheel manufacturers have said that you won't feel an unpleasant ride in a BMW as you would, in say a Honda, that doesn't have a good, solid suspension.
....The roads here in Orlando, Florida are overall very good -- no major pot hole problems or old railroad tracks to be concerned with.
... If I went with 18" wheels, I'm concerned I'll regret it next year, when by then 19" wheels will have become the "new sport standard."
So, with the above in mind, I'm going for the 19's. (...I think)
used Does anyone have any history with either Moven or Monet wheels? I'm considering 19" wheels and both companies have the wheel I'm interested in, so I'm trying to determine if one is better than the other:
