Motor Oil in Throttle Intake E34 M50

I had to remove my air filtration assembly to replace a headlight lamp. On doing so I discovered motor oil in the intake piping. I'd appreciate advice on determining the cause. I have a '91 525I with 211,000 miles. Doesn't use oil and runs great.

Thanx for your help.
JMichael

Hi JM...
This has found its way there via the engine breather pipe, just remove it and thoroughly clean it and replace, thats it !!
