I just recently bought a 1997 BMW 540i e39. I was hoping to do a few things very soon, but came up empty handed searching through google. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction for these things: (brand, sound clips, pictures, etc.)
1.) Chip (what companies make reliable high HP increase chips?)
2.) Cold Air Intake (something comparable to ABD - I know they make audi and VW intakes that i absolutely love!)
3.) Exhaust (I didnt like the sound of the Dynan, and listened to a sound clip of some company starting with an 'R' - dont recall the name. Absolutely loved it, they had a logo that looked similar to a fox? - regardless i couldnt find ANYWHERE to buy a cat back kit!?! maybe someone could help me with the name of this brand and where i could purchase a full cat back kit?)
I dont mind spending what it takes for a big name, as long as it has some street credit. Exhaust im really just interested in the sound (note im not replacing CAT right away) If anyone could throw in 2 cents please do!

i think the exhaust you're looking for is Remus?? i think that's the name
exhaust will run you about $800
intakes - there are several choices.
The beauty about dinan is it's bmw approved and what they make is reliable and safe. But there are other options you can go with.
As fat as chipping goes - dinan works

Also, because dealers are selling this Dinan chip - wouldnt that mean that it doesnt clear the governor and probably wouldnt offer as much hp to the wheels as other chips would??
