Hi guys. I need two new rear tyres. the current tyres are metric size 230/55/390. Does anyone know the imperial size for this as I don't want to pay metric prices!! Thanks
Anyhow, are you sure that your actual wheels are not metric as well?

The closest OEM sizes that I know came stock on the E39 are 225/60/15 and 225/55/16. Since I don't know enough about mounting tires, etc., I would recommend that you first confirm that whatever you are getting will work.

Thanks for that mate. I have managed to locate some at a local scrap yard. Aparently they are mint condition, only 120 GBP for both. The cheapest I could find new were 168 GBP each!
