New to the forum and wanted to know if it is possible to swap an m52 engine and trans into my 93 e34 525i. Have found a suitable donor that includes complete engine, transmission, ecu and wiring harness. Trying to determine level of difficulty and any additional needed components.
the M52 replaced the M50. the displacement is 2.8 L. this motor is found in the E39 528. hp ~190 and tq ~200
ducfan, why are you doing the swap? also, for some more top end power you can use the M50 intake manifold on the M52. the larger intake runners help the motor breathe and produce more hp at high rpm.
