What will happen if I replace the exhaust of my 530 – 2002 with M5 exhaust (with 4 pipes)?
I am asking this question because I’ve got an offer of back bumper, side mirrors, interior, etc of an M5 – 2002 in good condition. It will be ugly to put the bumper of the m5 & on the 530 without having four pipes exhaust.
I know the seats, door panels, side mirrors, steering wheel will fit but can the exhaust be used & what are the benefits and/or the side effects?
If I remember correctly, the M5 has no spare tire well in order to fit the huge muffler system. They gave you M mobility kit (compressor with the sealing fluid).
The M5 is a v8. Your car is an i6. Get an aftermarket 4-pipe exhaust if it matters that much to you. I think you can also buy an M rear diffuser that will fit the M5 bumper, but with only the void for one set of pipes.
