Low Speed Driveshaft Vibration - BMW Forum

Can anyone give me some insight to what might be causing my driveshaft to vibrate at speeds of around 20-25 mph. The thing sounds like someone is knocking under the floorboard but once the car is in 3rd gear and above all is fine....and no vibration when slowing down. I've had the shaft balanced and the u-joints, center support bearing, guibo flexdisc and end bushing are all fine. Could it be transmision mounts or something else? Thanks for your help...

Pay special attention to the ball bearing, it is supported by a rubber cushion. This rubber along with the flex disc helps to dampens and reduce your driveshaft vibrations. I heard these this cushion plus the flex disc can be tuned.....That is why they recommend to buy the whole thing.....I am not so sure but check it out-- if possible-- and let us know.
