Hi all. I have a 91 525i with 97,000. Have a few questions hope you all can help me out before I lose my mind with this car.
1) Car will knock once really loud, sounds like coming from the back when I accelerate hard especially in 2nd and 3rd from low RPMs. I ALREADY got a tune up b/c of oil in spark plugs from leaking head cover gasket. However, I fixed head cover gasket AFTER driving from DC to NJ with the clean new spark plugs so that probably got oil back in them. And I ALWAYS use Mobil 1 and now V- Power gas
2) Any suggestions on fixing very tiny rust spots from my bike rack on the trunk without paying $250 to redo the entire trunk?
3) What about putting a cheap radiator in the car as opposed to BMW's like my mechanic wants to put in. Mine leaks when it's 35 degrees and below.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!
4) Also How long do I have after my brake linings light comes on. And typically is this ALSO expensive to fix? Isn't there a sensor that needs to be replaced with the pads?
