Hi there! I just lost my BMW 525I keys and I realize someone took the keys and went into my car but left shortly. So is there anything I can do to prevent that same person using my lost keys and steal the car?
You'll need a new EWS/theft contrl system, including new door locks for peace of mind. You may also ask the dealership if they can set something in the EWS system to render the key you lost useless os that it won't start the ignition. This latter action, however, even if possible, will not keep anyone from opening a door with teh key.
Good luck.

Don't know what year it is, so if it is a mechanical (flat) key, just have a locksmith change the pins to the door locks which will cancel access by the old key. If a remote was also taken, have yours reprogrammed.
