| It really depends on the car u will get ( a 520 d its alot diferent from an M5), first thing ask for the maintenance book , check if the car had recent maintenance and check for any long dates without any service maintenance ,(avoid cars without the book) when testing the car try it if possible on a bumpy road , test the suspension and transmition for strange noises, at low speed test the brakes hard , with a hard kick (dont need to brake the feet), listen to strange noises on the subframes when u do it , any strange bumps noises could be arms , or bushes on rear or front subframes members in bad shape.also check for rust inside the petrol cover ,and on the front side blinks light(lighs to change diretion), after all this u will have a gr8 car. Keep in mind this is just an opinion try to listen to other members first.
greetings
