Thumbs up

Hello everyone, I'm new here and will be looking at my first BMW. It's from a private owner and the details are as follows:

2000 528i w/62K miles. As options it has Sport and Premium packages Heated Seats Xenon Headlights Power everything Sunroof CD Disk changer Steptronic transmission, Rain Sensing wipers 17" Wheels Tan Montana leather sport seats, navigation and cd changer. The guy added a M5 Grill and M5 rear spoiler.

The color is black metallic. Looks good in the pics but they can be misleading.

He wants $15K which seems low to me. The title is clean and no accidents or other damage done to the car.

Is there anything that I should look for with this specific model? Any common problems. Is the 2.8 litre a reliable engine?

Thanks in advance for any info or input!

The price does sound low for that mileage and condition. Two things to ask if you have done #1 Have you had an independent mechanic that know BMW's do and inspection? #2 Have you done a CARFAX search on the car?

Thanks for the info so far. I haven't looked at it yet but will make sure I check very thoroughly. I will try to also do a carfax before buying....

Thanks again!

I paid 22k for mine without the xenon or the 17's. It did only have 56k on it and came with a 36k/3yr warranty though.
