Hi,
I currently own a e39 which i recently purchased second-hand. My next door neighbour has also has an E39 (2001 525, i have a 1998 528) which i have been in many times. Once he starts the car and drives off the doors are all automatically locked. However on mine this does not happen. I have gone through the manuals and it says its part of the Key Memory facility.
However the manual does not state how to program it. Is there a way i can do it myself or do i have to take the car to a BMW dealer?

Its a 1998. It says in the manual that it CAN be done, yet it does not say how to activate/prgram it!!
