PariaH is an unknown quantity at this point
hi there been reading these forums for a while and have now finally re registered due to forgetting My original name

I have an E-35 535IS H reg 1990 with 125,000 miles on the clock a great reliable machine with 2 problems that have arisen the 2nd no one knows but everyone is glad to take My money to try and figure the problem out but fail each time

the first problem is when I start My car at night and put the headlights on after about 30-40 seconds to a couple of minutes the lights flash on and off a couple of times for various lengths of time intermittently ....before returning to normal again....I have been told its a relay but unsure

the second is the real problem about 12 months ago the EML light came on in My car and has remained on ever since .....it continually drains My battery to the point were I had to take fuse #17 out to de activate the light so My battery remained healthy with plenty of juice continually in it....

at the same time it seems My car went into safe/limp mode the car has ever since had no power in it what so ever it still drives nice but a bmw in safe mode is no fun whatso ever I have had various things done at a cost of over 1000 to it nothing has fixed it ......I am now being told that its the electronic accelerator fitted ontop of the rocker cover housing held in by 3 or 4 star bolts

I am close to My limit with the car now its an old car but very reliable and I have had it for over 7 years now ....the thing in like part of the family ever reliable and I do not want to get rid of it truly can anyone help Me with this problem it seems its a very odd and rare problem I can post more info if needed .......thanxs an awful lot to any whom can take time to read or help Me out

ThanxS
DavE

PS if you know a reliable garage that may help out in the merseyside area I will gladly give it a last try to rectify My beloved cars ailment

I can't help with too much but it seems as if your Light / Lamp control module may be going bad on ya. It could cause rapid battery drain and flashing lights.
