left power seat - BMW Forum

My left power seat, on my 2000 528, will not go forwards or back, all other functions of power seat works. Any suggestions?

Can you hear the motor turning, or does it start to turn and stop or does it do NOTHING at all?

The motor has most likely siezed if there is no sound (seen this in other BMW's) the motor will have to be replaced (and it is no easy task!) there is an opening in the rear of the motor to manually run the seats forward and rearward to access the seat retaining bolts (note that this takes FOREVER!) good luck
