yeah, i understand that, I was just curious as to what he thought i should upgrade to... I think the grill looks pretty good, but if there is something else out there that give it that little "something"...
yeah thats what just grilles are called in the bimmer world as torque said,,, but im not really sure where he was going when he said you needed to get them? i dono... thats wierd...
Look at the grille in my sig, that's what he's talking about--chromed on every slat with a wider chrome border. Alternatively, there are all-black grilles if you want to get rid of all chrome.
I really do like the sport look (no chrome accents) but i'd end up spending alot of $ getting rid of mine and don't really want to add anymore...although not saying chrome in the right places isnt good
think i'll keep the grills the way they are..
thanks for the info guys... by the way, like the new sig??
Yes I do like it. Way to show off your new wheels.
I'm not sure why no chrome=sport look. The E39 M5 was I thought the first one to have a fully chromed-out grille...either that or the E46 M3. Those are pretty darned sporty cars.
Winter97E39, maybe this link will help you. I really don't like the all black thing.
I replaced the grill which is wider on the edges. It stands out more. I'm glad & happy I replaced mine.
The M5 has the same wider type

Actually you can get the cheaper ones, about $50.
Not much difference once you install it, looks the same and the chrome on mine's held up really well, no chipping or peeling.
