Can anyone help? My car makes a whining/scraping noise when I pull out quicker than normal. The noise stops after the clutch is all the way up so only lasts a second or two. The same happens when I'm going up hill and have to change down gears. The other problem is that I drove through a big puddle on a country lane, and now my car is kangarooing in 1st and 2nd gear. Could this be due to water damage somewhere? Or is it something to do with the whining noise (which I think is the clutch)and the timing of the puddle is just a coincidence?
Ifixed it! The air intake pipe had a tear in it. Had to get one from BMW for twenty pounds (GBP). Not too bad. Its going in the garage tomorow for the clutch.....Not looking forward to the price tag on that one.
