That sucks man... I have total blackout all around, even have 20% covering the front windshield. Its like a stealth mobile.

Looks good, I like it.
I got my car in Scottsdale; front and back side glass was black. Which is roughly 9x Iowa's legal tint percentage for front side windows. Needless to say, that didn't sit well with the local authorities.
I've been considering tinting my windows. I live in the DC metro area. Nice to know there are fellow Hokies on board. I'd like to have my windows tinted but don't know if you have to use that film or get totally new windows. Is there a good tinting shop around in the DC area that specializes in luxury cars?

Definitely go with a reputable business that has been around for years and even get references if you can. These fly-by-night "fast-n-furious" shops are trouble, IMHO. A good way to tell is by how readily they're willing to apply an illegal level of tint to your car. Go with the guys who want to keep you (and themselves) legal (again, as pathetic as that is)...
Regarding material - it is definitely a film, and the best have either a titatium or carbon material providing the tint. Anything else will just turn purple in a year. I recommend any 3M material that carries a lifetime warranty.

Thanks for the compliments!
I stuck with the Virginia-legal limit of 50% on the front windows and 35% everywhere else. I think 35% everywhere would be ideal, but I chose to submit to authority on this one...

Thanks for the props! Yes, as soon as I saw this car it was a case of, "OK-I've-looked-at-a-bunch-of-5-ers-and-this-is-definitely-the-ONE!" The photos don't do it justice (especially ones taken mid-morning on a sunny day as the ones above were).
Now that I've replaced the front wheel bearings and all 4 brakes with Brembo rotors and am (finally!) running Axxis D+ pads, AND performed the CDV-ectomy, life is much better...

even a 35% on all the windows (if you get a good film) will block out 99% of the UV rays that turn your blue interior, blueish-purple. I have 25% on all the windows and you can still see at night, it looks good and it protects. These cars dont need to be dark, just a little tint adds SO much to these cars, classy. Besides, who would want to have 5% all the way around? No one can see whos driving
looks good....
