This question is related to a thread just posted. I was reading the thread of the chap who had a battery that wasn't starting the motor and the recommendation was not to jump start the car. My question is why - I am assuming it is because it is computer related.
Your assumption is very correct....electronic components don't mix with electrical surges/sags very well...In fact they may fail....think your PC at home without (UPS) during a storm!!
That is why BMWs have that big bolt sitting on the top of the engine marked with (+) symbol
