Interior lights spontaenously come on while driving?

I have a 97 540I/6 and just recently the interior lights starting coming on while driving. The lights stay on until I hit the center dome light switch to turn them back on. Anyone have any idea why/how this might be happening? Common problem with this car? Ideas?
Thanks!
FF

**EDIT**
Can't find any Light Control Module listed for a 97 540I. I tried:
partsbin.com
Europarts
bimmerpartswholesale.com
dealtime.com
autopartswarehouse.com
etc, etc. No luck. Maybe something else?

Try WWW.BMRPARTS.COM and give them a call.

This is a junkyard for BMW's only in Norther California. They may have this part
