Hi allI wonder if anyone can help me on the much discussed rear cover/pcv device I have 1 lonely hose feeding the fpr ! The two smaller connections have been plugged and there is no obvious loose vac hose and the lower larger outlet is connected to nothing. Does anyone know where to look or a diagram? Also the is a whooshing air sound back there like a huge vac leak but no reaction with the spray cleaner??? I have cold start stumbling and what feels like a low rpm miss. Are these all connected?I pulled the dipstick test today with no reaction I know on the m30 engine in my e23 pulling the dipstick or oil cap usually stalled it??Sorry for the long post but I'm trying to nail down what i can before she goes into storage
Assuming that you have the M62 engine, this might help you, this guy has put together a fairly detailed explaination of replacing the OSV, not really what you are trying to do, but it might give you some detail on what hoses go where. Rear Manifold Cover aka. OSV | BMW 740iL | Magnum
Hopefully it will be of some use to you.
Thanks for the quick reply but it was that link that showed me i had hoses missing/disconnected.I have the bently manual but can't find a hose diagram btw I have the m60 engine
