Installing Heat for Seats

I was reading someone else's thread and didn't want to hijack it, but it gave me an idea. On my 94 e34 525i there are blank panels where I see where the heat controls would have been installed had the car been equipped with heated seats. I am wondering how easy or hard it would be to install heat for my seats. Just an idea I was kicking around. I live in the desert so it really doesn't get cold enough to need them, but you never know. Any input is welcome as to how to install heat for seats.

Do the seats actually have heating ?
If don't, the covers has to come off and you have to install heat matts under the seat covers, or install seats that already has it.

You also need to locate the connector under the floor mat which you connect with the one from the seat heater.

They don't have heating. I was just thinking of adding it, that's all. I will read your link and see what I uncover. Thanks for the link.
