Neither car is rare. It all comes down to how long you plan on keeping the car ... a few years down the road, 530i will still be worth more ... if you plan on keeping it for the next 10 or more years, then M3 might be worth more ...

btw, you posted in the completely wrong part of the forum ... don't expect many responses.
in my opinion that would be a stupid trade. yea the m3 is faster and its a convertible but its 9 years older...resale value will not be anywhere near as good. i mean unless the car has 20k miles on it and its in better than new shape, keep your 530. the m3 may not be as common as the 530 but its nowhere near being considered a "rare" car.
