ok i know my car........
BUT
im here to ask a few questions
i have a 528e 1985
AWESOME CAR

but.... i start the car and it does fine. And it could sit there at idle forever and never die. (Although it does idle erratically)

When i shift into gear and drive 100feet no-more no-less, and it stalls and falls on itself.

It doesn't die if i give it gas(or floor it). But it sometimes will send a backfire up into the throttle body or intake. i thought its gotta be the valves that let it up into there. that i think i understand

BUT WHY AT 100FT DOES IT STALL AND ALMOST DIE

every time i start it it does this.
it doesn't have any pickup either
Ive seen lots of people online that have problems with their idle control valves
or tps or mass air flow
i thought it could be any of those
so i changed my tps thinking that it didn't know i was accelerating or something
but no change
so next im gonna do the idle control valve

any tips are very welcome

here is a pic of it

go ahead and clean out that ICV. Use some carb cleaner.

p.s. Nice E28! Lowered, straight, rims, tint. Simple but effective. Not a huge fan of the wind deflector, but that's just me.
